On Sunday, February 2nd, 2025, Metropolitan Cleopas of Sweden and All Scandinavia led the Divine Liturgy at the St. George Cathedral of Stockholm on the Feast of the Ypapanti/ Christ’s Presentation into the Temple.
Cocelebrants included Very Reverend Archimandrite Bartholomew Iatridis, the parish priest, and Reverend Economos George Arvanitidis, Parish Priest of the Saints Demetrios and Nestor Parish in Örebro, Sweden.
During the service, Metropolitan Cleopas invited the children to the solea in front of the Holy Altar to explain the significance of the feast day and the Holy Sacrament of Chrismation. A new member from Uganda was received into the Orthodox Church, named Mark, during the ceremony.
In his address, Metropolitan Cleopas thanked the clergy for their ministry and hospitality, emphasizing the importance of welcoming new members into the Church. He expressed his hope for the continued growth of the Orthodox faith in the Northern Lands.
