The traditional Vasilopita cutting ceremony took place on Thursday, February 13, 2025, at the Economic and Commercial Office of Milan. The event was hosted by Ms. Betti Larda, First Counselor for Economic and Commercial Affairs and Director of the Office.
Archimandrite Ioannis Batsis, the head of the Greek Orthodox Parish of Milan, officiated the blessing and cutting of the Vasilopita. He is known for fostering unity and collaboration between the Greek community and local institutions.
Among the attendees were Ms. Eleni Gavriliadou, Director of the Hellenic National Tourism Organization (EOT) Office in Milan, along with various dignitaries, Greek and Italian professionals from diverse sectors in Milan, including business executives, lawyers, doctors, entrepreneurs, and other industry figures.
The event provided a valuable networking opportunity and helped strengthen relationships between institutions and professionals. This year is particularly special as it marks the centenary of the Greek Orthodox Church’s presence in Milan, recognized for its role in promoting cohesion, dialogue, and cooperation within the city’s multicultural and professional environment.
