The Synod concluded with a prayer for unity and peace in the Orthodox Church of Ukraine and the wider Orthodox world. It reiterated its commitment to dialogue, cooperation, and upholding canonical order for the benefit of all believers. The Synod’s decisions and statements will be communicated to the appropriate ecclesiastical bodies and authorities for further consideration and action.
Metropolitan Yevstratiy of Bila Tserkva attended international conferences in Berlin and Crete, focusing on religious freedom and interfaith dialogue with the blessing of Metropolitan Epiphaniy. A committee led by Metropolitan Demetrios of Lviv was established by the Synod to investigate the controversy surrounding the frescoes in Lutsk’s Holy Trinity Cathedral. Archimandrite Yelysei (Pletenetskyi) of Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra was canonized, with October 29 designated as his feast day. The Synod approved the use of festive antiphons in liturgical services and sent well wishes to Metropolitan Makarios of Lviv on his 80th birthday. All decisions were unanimously approved by the Holy Synod, concluding the session.
