The Holy Diocese of Malawi joyfully announced the blessings and achievements of May.
With the grace of Christ and the blessing of Patriarch Theodore II of Alexandria, Bishop Fotios of Malawi led the Diocese to abundant divine blessings in its pastoral and charitable ministries.
Read below the message of Bishop Fotios of Malawi:
My beloved brothers,
CHRIST IS RISEN!
By the grace of our Christ and the blessing of our Most Holy Patriarch Theodore II, our Holy Diocese has experienced abundant divine blessings in our pastoral and charitable ministries during the past month of May.
During the week following Easter, we presided over the celebrations in two churches: St. Athanasios in Zomba and St. George in Kambodzi, where we also performed the baptism of twenty children. We also presided at the Church of the Resurrection of the Lord, where, after the Divine Liturgy, the annual meeting of the wives of the presbyters and representatives of the Orthodox Women’s Association of the Holy Diocese of Malawi took place, led by Sister Vasiliki Aletra, who came from Thessaloniki before Holy Week and assisted us until the end of May.
In the following two weeks of May, the Holy God allowed us to celebrate the feasts of Sts. Constantine and Helen and Pentecost, and to inaugurate five new boreholes for clean water throughout the year: St. Mary of Egypt Church in Luchenza, St. Anna Church in Mulanje, Nativity of Christ Church in Chikwawa and St. Panteleimon Church in Nyambadwe, Blantyre.
Let us once again give glory to the Holy Trinity, for He has shown mercy to us, the humble and unworthy, and has made all these things come to pass.
Pray, my dearly beloved brethren, that the Lord will soon allow, with your support, the realization of more works for His glory and our salvation. With much love in the Risen Christ,
+Fotios from Malawi
