So, while we mourn the loss of every Jewish life, we must also celebrate the fact that we have a homeland where Jews can defend themselves, where they can live and thrive as a majority. Israel is the only place in the world where Jews can truly be themselves, without fear of persecution or discrimination. Aliyah is not just a personal choice; it is a national imperative.Â
As we read about the spies and their negative report, let us remember that fear should not dictate our actions. Let us be inspired by the bravery of our soldiers and the resilience of our people. Let us strive to fulfill the mitzvah of settling the land of Israel, whether physically or through support and advocacy. Our homeland is waiting for us, and it is up to us to answer the call.Â
May we merit to see the day when all Jews will live peacefully and securely in the land of Israel, fulfilling the words of the prophets and bringing true redemption to the world. Shabbat Shalom.Â
This represents a loss of over 250 Jews per day over 2,000 years! The modern State of Israel has saved hundreds of thousands of lives in its short existence and continues to offer Jews throughout the world an ultimate homeland in any emergency situation.Â
For the past nine months, we have seen rallies across Israel and around the world with Jews shouting, âBring Them Home!â To whom is this call addressed? To Hamas? Theyâre not listening. To the government and the IDF? They are doing all they can. I believe it is addressed to all Jews in the Diaspora. It is Hashem calling out to all the Jews in exile, âBring Them Home!â Now is the time to come home. Please start making plans, start an Aliyah committee in your community, and come home soon to live a complete Jewish life in Eretz Yisrael.
