As we journey through the final week of Holy and Great Lent and stand on the threshold of Holy and Great Week, at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in Chalcedon, under the guidance of the local Shepherd, Elder Metropolitan Emmanuel of Chalcedon, the sacrament of Holy Unction was administered for the Georgian community living in Chalcedon.
The sacrament was conducted in the Georgian language by Archimandrite of the Ecumenical Throne Father Ilias Jinjolava, the Proistamenos of the Georgian-speaking Community of Constantinople, with the participation of many faithful from Constantinople and the broader region of Chalcedon.
Following the sacred sacrament, the Protosyncellus of the Holy Metropolis of Chalcedon, Archimandrite Father Evgenios Karatzas, greeted Fr. Ilias and conveyed the well-wishes and blessings of Metropolitan Emmanuel for the upcoming Paschal Feast Day.
