St. Demetrios Community in North London, Edmonton, celebrated the Feast of the Great-Martyr Demetrios, their Patron Saint, with joyful liturgical ceremonies on October 25th and 26th, 2024.
Archbishop Nikitas of Thyateira and Great Britain led the panegyric Great Vespers, Matins, and Divine Liturgy, joined by Bishop Iakovos of Claudioupolis and other clergy members. Special ordinations and honors were bestowed during the services.
Following the Divine Liturgy, a memorial service for the deceased was held, marking fifty years since the invasion of Cyprus. Distinguished guests, including the Consul of the Hellenic Republic in London, were in attendance.
