On Saturday, May 18, 2024, Metropolitan Iakovos of Ireland was officially enthroned by Archbishop Nikitas of Thyateira and Great Britain, who represented Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew.
The ceremony took place at the Greek Orthodox Church of the Annunciation of the Mother of God in Dublin, Ireland. Among the attendees were Metropolitan Athanasios of Colognia and Bishop Iakovos of Claudiopolis.
The event was graced by distinguished guests such as Dermot Farrell, Catholic Archbishop of Dublin; Magdalini Nicolaou, Ambassador of the Hellenic Republic in Ireland; Vanya Andreeva-Malakova, Ambassador of the Republic of Bulgaria to Ireland; and Larisa Miculet, Ambassador of the Republic of Moldova to Ireland. Notable dignitaries and numerous Archons of the Ecumenical Patriarchate from Canada, Greece, and the UK were also present.
