The Ecumenical Patriarchate, led by Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, participated in the International Summit on Ukraine and endorsed the Joint Statement issued after the Summit, held on June 15-16 at the Bürgenstock Resort in the Swiss Confederation.
The Joint Statement for a Framework for Peace has the support of numerous countries and international organizations that attended this significant Summit, organized at the invitation of the President of the Swiss Confederation, Ms. Viola Amherd.
During the closing plenary session of the Summit, the Ecumenical Patriarch addressed the participants, stressing the importance of everyone’s responsibility to defend and promote peace. [Read the Patriarch’s address here.]
