The Cross of Pammakaristos was awarded by the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew to former Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borissov for his support of the Mother Church during his recent trip to Sofia. This visit was on the occasion of the election and enthronement of the new Patriarch Daniel of Bulgaria.
On Sunday morning, June 30, the Ecumenical Patriarch visited the National Assembly building in Sofia, where he met with the Speaker of Parliament, Rania Nazarian, and honored Mr. Boyko Borissov with the Cross of Pammakaristos for his support of the Mother Church.
