The Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew welcomed the Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine, Olexandr Mischenko, on Tuesday, November 19, 2024.
During their meeting, the Ecumenical Patriarch reiterated the Mother Church’s unwavering support for the people of Ukraine.
Also present at the meeting was the outgoing Ambassador of Ukraine to Turkey, Vasyl Bodnar, whom the Ecumenical Patriarch commended for his collaboration during his tenure in Turkey and extended his best wishes for his upcoming service at the Embassy of Ukraine in Poland. Roman Nedilskyi, Consul General of Ukraine in Constantinople, and his deputy Andriy Boyko, as well as Grand Ecclesiarch Aetios, Director of the Patriarchal Office, were in attendance.
