In a festive atmosphere, Archbishop Nikitas of Thyateira and Great Britain led the Service of the Resurrection and presided over the Paschal Divine Liturgy at the Church of St Andrew in Kentish Town, London.
Accompanying Archbishop Nikitas were Archimandrite Chrysostomos Michaelides and Oeconomos Father Kristian Akselberg, the Priest-in-Charge. The service was also graced by the presence of Archdeacon George Tsourous, as well as Revd Deacons Dimitrios Mamouchas and Georgios Ntallas, who assisted during the service.
This significant celebration marked the culmination of Holy Week, gathering the faithful to partake in the joyful proclamation of Christ’s Resurrection. As midnight approached, Archbishop Nikitas, holding the Holy Light, proclaimed the triumphant declaration, “Christ is Risen,” filling the hearts of all in attendance with reverence and joy. The “Feast of Feasts” was attended by dignitaries including the Consul of the Hellenic Republic, His Excellency Christos Goulas, along with other esteemed guests.
