On Saturday, 15 February 2025, a group of forty-five teachers and students from the Department of History and Ethnology at Democritus University of Thrace, led by Associate Professor Athanasios Kougoulos, visited the Theological School of Halki.
The group was welcomed by the Abbot, Bishop Kassianos of Aravissos, in the Great Synod Room of the School. He spoke about the history of the School and the ongoing efforts for its reopening.
Following the welcome, the teachers and students visited the Holy Trinity Chapel for veneration and then toured the old classrooms and the historic Library of the School.
