In his own reflections, Metropolitan Sawa expressed gratitude to God for the gift of a long life and the meaningful encounters he has experienced. He recalled pivotal moments, including collaborations with former Church leaders and the inspiring journey towards the independence of the Orthodox Church in Poland, led by Metropolitan Dionysius.
To mark the 100th anniversary of the Church’s independence, the Orders of St. Mary Magdalene were bestowed upon clergy and employees of the Metropolitan Chancellery and the Warsaw Orthodox Metropolis, recognizing their daily dedication and contributions to the Church’s mission.
