This Shabbat marks the conclusion of the account of Yetziat Mitzrayim, which began after Chanukah and culminated in the construction of the Mishkan over the past few weeks. As we return to the beginning with the reading for Shabbat HaChodesh, we are reminded of the upcoming Pesach holiday. The first day of Nissan, this coming Sunday, commemorates the dedication of the Mishkan, as the tribe of Yehuda presented their gifts. Many people follow the tradition of reading the gifts of the tribal leaders in the days leading up to Pesach, reflecting on the unity and purpose behind each offering.
Reflecting on the teachings of the Ramchal in Mishkenei Elyon, we are reminded of the interconnectedness between the offerings we bring to Hashem and the abundance He provides for us. Ramchal explains the hierarchy established by Hashem in the universe, linking higher powers with their earthly counterparts. As the light of Creation emanates, it illuminates and enhances everything below, unifying the divided elements in the spiritual realms.
Through the construction of the Mishkan and the service within it, we witness the harmonious connection between the physical and spiritual realms. The offerings made with pure intentions align with the needs of our souls, creating a profound sense of purpose and connection to Hashem’s plan for us.
As we enter the season of Nissan and prepare for Pesach, may we strive to restore the unity and blessings that come from serving Hashem wholeheartedly. Let us embrace the light and inspiration that comes from aligning our actions with the divine purpose of Creation, as exemplified by the leaders of the twelve tribes of Israel.
