On Thursday, May 23, 2024, Patriarch Theophilos of Jerusalem welcomed Ode Kawas, inspector of the Arabic Schools of the Patriarchate; Fr. Konstanti, the ministering Priest of the Community of Yaffo; a delegation from the Middle East Churches for Peace organization; and Mr. Dietrich Bäumer, director of the Schmidt German School in Jerusalem, along with a group of teachers and students. The meeting was overseen by German archaeologist Professor Dieter Vieweger, who has been conducting archaeological work on the hill of Holy Zion.
