“I am appalled by the news of yet another student being seriously injured, this time in the already wounded Novi Sad. I expect those responsible for this and all other crimes to be held accountable under the law.
Violence has never yielded positive outcomes. It contradicts Christian principles and is entirely unacceptable, especially when directed at our students.
Each individual must contribute to halting hatred and conflict immediately. Those in positions of power bear the greatest responsibility.
I urge everyone to re-embrace basic human and Christian values. I pray for God to restore reason, peace, and love, much needed in this challenging time.”
