On Monday, July 22, 2024, the Press Office of the Patriarchate of Romania announced that Patriarch Daniel of Romania will celebrate his birthday.
On this special occasion, a prayer of thanksgiving to God will be recited at the Patriarchal Cathedral during the Divine Liturgy. Following the Divine Liturgy, at 11:00 a.m., a Te Deum will be celebrated at the Patriarchal Cathedral in gratitude to God for the blessings bestowed upon the Romanian Orthodox Church and Patriarch Daniel.
Starting at 12:00 p.m., the Patriarchal Palace will host a brief anniversary event. During this time, congratulatory messages will be presented on behalf of central and local state authorities as well as other public institutions.
This event will be attended by hierarchs of the Holy Synod, representatives of central and local state authorities, prominent figures from Romanian public life, members of the Permanent Boards of the National Ecclesiastical Council and the Eparchial Council of the Archdiocese of Bucharest, as well as clergy and laypeople.
It is noted that the official feast day of Patriarch Daniel is September 30 each year, commemorating the date of his enthronement as Patriarch of the Romanian Orthodox Church on September 30, 2007.
