Patriarch Daniel of Romania conveyed his heartfelt condolences to Patriarch Porfirije of Serbia following the tragic accident at a railway station in Novi Sad.
Serbia is in mourning as investigations are underway into the devastating collapse of part of the outer roof at the train station in Novi Sad, resulting in the loss of 14 lives.
In his message, Patriarch Daniel offered prayers for the souls of the deceased and for the speedy recovery of the injured individuals.

It is with great sadness that we learned of the tragic incident at the railway station entrance in Novi Sad on the evening of Friday, November 1, 2024, which claimed the lives of fourteen individuals and left others critically injured.
During this period of grief for the people of Serbia, we implore our Merciful God to grant eternal rest to those who perished in this tragic event, a swift recovery to the wounded, and solace to the grieving families.
