Patriarch Kirill of Moscow sent warm birthday greetings to Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov on his 75th birthday.
In his message, the Patriarch praised Lavrov’s consistent and responsible service as Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, noting his professionalism, dedication to truth and justice, and his ability to find effective solutions to challenges.
The Patriarch acknowledged the Ministry’s efforts under Lavrov’s leadership to enhance Russia’s international reputation, safeguard national interests, assist Russian compatriots abroad, and advocate for historical truth and traditional values globally.
He expressed hope for continued collaboration between the Russian Orthodox Church and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to strengthen national sovereignty, unity, and promote peace and prosperity.
As a token of appreciation, Patriarch Kirill announced the awarding of the Order of the Holy and Right-Believing Grand Prince Alexander Nevsky, First Class, to Minister Lavrov.
