Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia has sent warm congratulations to Patriarch John X of Antioch on the occasion of his enthronement anniversary. This year also marks the 30th anniversary of his consecration as a bishop and his 70th birthday.
In his message, Patriarch Kirill recognized the sacred duty given to Patriarch John X by the Holy Synod of the Antiochian Orthodox Church, which elected him to the ancient Patriarchal Throne. He emphasized the spiritual and historical significance of Antioch, a land blessed by the works of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul, as well as other saints of the Church.
“Throughout your years of ministry, you have earned the love and respect of your fellow bishops, clergy, and the faithful,” Patriarch Kirill wrote. “Through your example, you inspire others to grow in the knowledge of God and bear good fruit.”
Patriarch Kirill praised Patriarch John X for his dedication to preserving the Christian presence in Syria amidst challenging circumstances. He assured Patriarch John X of the unwavering support of the Russian Orthodox Church.
On this special occasion, Patriarch Kirill offered prayers for Patriarch John X’s health, spiritual well-being, and peace for the Holy Antiochian Church.
