The Patriarch of Moscow sends warm congratulations to the newly elected and enthroned Primate of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church, Patriarch Daniel.
“On behalf of the hierarchs, clergy, monastics, and the entire Russian Orthodox Church, I extend heartfelt congratulations on your election and elevation to the Bulgarian Patriarchal Throne,” expressed the Patriarch of Moscow.
“It is with great pleasure that the Holy Spirit and the esteemed participants of the Patriarchal Election Church Council have chosen you for this significant primatial ministry, entrusting you with the leadership of Bulgarian Orthodoxy,” he continued.
“With your appointment, the Church of St. John of Rila and St. Euphemius of Tarnovo welcomes a new Primate — a worthy successor to the esteemed Patriarchs of Bulgaria Kirill, Maxim, and Neofyt, who have worked diligently to uphold spiritual traditions and nurture their flock in the Orthodox faith,” he emphasized.
“The Russian Orthodox Church celebrates with the Sister Church, now under the guidance of a wise hierarch known for his piety, commitment to canonical order, and dedication to promoting church unity,” underscored the Patriarch.
In conclusion, he stated: “We have faith that Your Holiness will continue to strengthen the longstanding relationship between our Churches. On this special day, I pray for your health, joy in the Lord, and His guidance throughout your Patriarchate, filled with fruitful accomplishments, while wishing prosperity and peace to the God-protected flock of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church.”
