On Monday, December 2, 2024, Patriarch Theophilos of Jerusalem planted the first olive tree out of the hundred planned to be planted in the outer precinct of the Holy Cross Monastery. The planting took place in the presence of Elder Chief-Secretary Archbishop Aristarchos of Constantina, the Hegoumen of the Monastery Archimandrite Christodoulos, Archdeacon Mark, and the overseer of the estate of the Monastery of the Cross.
Following the tree planting, Patriarch Theophilos supervised the ongoing conservation and renovation works within the Monastery.
