On Thursday, May 30, 2024, Patriarch Theophilos of Jerusalem met with Alexander Gormatguk, an expert from the Foundation of Archangel Michael’s Institute in Russia. Alexander Gormatguk, under the guidance of Metropolitan Joachim of Helenoupolis, had preserved an icon of the Shrine of the Theotokos’s Tomb in Gethsemane.
The following day, Friday, May 31, 2024, Patriarch Theophilos welcomed Metropolitan Epiphanios of Lydra, Hegoumen of the Holy Monastery of Machaira in Cyprus, along with two priests and one layman. The Patriarch expressed his gratitude to the Metropolitan for his support of the Patriarchate.
Additionally, the Patriarch received Archimandrite Father Artemios, Hegoumen of the Community of Haifa, along with two priests. He also had a meeting with a priest and the Commissioners of the town Zdeide in Northern Israel.
Lastly, Patriarch Theophilos met with Archimandrite Parthenios, Hegoumen of the Holy Monastery of Prophet Elisha in Jericho.
