On Saturday, July 27, 2024, a Divine Liturgy was held on the Terrible Calvary, led by Metropolitan Kyriakos of Nazareth.
Following the Church’s order, Mr. Stephen Nassar, a Nazareth native, was ordained as a Deacon by Metropolitan Kyriakos of Nazareth after the consecration of the Holy Gifts.
The newly ordained Deacon was greeted with acclamation by the co-officiating priests, his relatives, and fellow citizens, who exclaimed “Worthy, Worthy!”
After the Divine Liturgy, the Patriarch of Jerusalem blessed the newly ordained Deacon at the Patriarchate, offering divine support for his future ministry as the priest of the Baane community in the Acre – Ptolemais region.
