Friday, November 29, 2024, marked a special day at the Holy Theological School of Halki as it welcomed a distinguished group of visitors, including Metropolitans Makarios of Anea and Chrysostomos of Eleftheroupolis.
The Abbot of the School, Bishop Kassianos of Arabissos, greeted the guests warmly and shared insights into the School’s history and its significance in theological education and Orthodoxy.
Metropolitan Chrysostomos of Eleftheroupolis led a funeral service at the grave of the late Patriarch Neophytos VIII, a former Bishop of Eleftheroupolis, honoring his memory and legacy.
Meanwhile, Mr. Gerasimos Siasos, the Rector of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, and other distinguished guests also visited the School, highlighting its continued relevance and prestige.
Metropolitan Makarios of Anea took a moment to address the students, sharing personal anecdotes from his time as a student at the School and encouraging them with his experiences and spiritual journey.
