Metropolitan Seraphim of the Baltic and Svetlogorsk, currently on a pilgrimage to the Holy Land with the blessing of Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia, was warmly welcomed by Patriarch Theophilos III of Jerusalem and All Palestine.
During their meeting, the hierarchs fondly recalled their past service in the Holy Land—Metropolitan Seraphim at the Gornensky Convent in the Ein Karem neighborhood, and Patriarch Theophilos as the parish priest of Saint George’s Church in Cana of Galilee, where Christ performed his first miracle.
Upon request, Metropolitan Seraphim provided an update on the religious landscape in Kaliningrad and neighboring countries like Lithuania, Latvia, and Poland to Patriarch Theophilos.
In a gesture of friendship and collaboration, Patriarch Theophilos and Metropolitan Seraphim exchanged commemorative gifts, sealing their meeting with mutual goodwill and a commitment to ongoing cooperation.
