Eleven years have passed since Pope Francis was enthroned as Pontiff. To celebrate this milestone, Apostolic Nuncio H.E. Archbishop Julio Murat and H.E. Anders Arborelius, Cardinal and Bishop of Stockholm, invited H.E. Metropolitan Cleopas of Sweden and All Scandinavia to a Thanksgiving Mass at the Roman Catholic Cathedral of St. Erik in Stockholm on the evening of Thursday, May 30, 2024.
The Metropolitan graciously accepted the invitation and attended the Mass, followed by a reception on the Cathedral premises, accompanied by Mr. & Mrs. Benedict Svedberg.
During the event, the Nuncio expressed gratitude to the Archpastor of the Nordic Lands for his presence. The Metropolitan had also participated in an archieratical concelebration at St. George Cathedral in Stockholm on Sunday, May 26, 2024, marking his tenth anniversary as Metropolitan. As a token of appreciation, the Nuncio presented the Metropolitan with a bishop’s medallion.
