The Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew warmly welcomed Metropolitan Epifaniy of Kyiv and All Ukraine with brotherly love at the Phanar on August 13, 2024.
Metropolitan Yevstratiy of Bila Tserkva and other associates accompanied Metropolitan Epifaniy during the visit.
Also present at the meeting were Mrs. Olena Kovalska, Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Mr. Viktor Yelensky, Head of the State Service for Ethnic Affairs and Freedom of Conscience, Mr. Vasyl Bodnar, Ukrainian Ambassador in Ankara, and Mr. Roman Nedilskyi, Consul General of Ukraine in Constantinople, along with his deputy, Mr. Andriy Boyko.
Private meetings were attended by Metropolitan Emmanuel of Chalcedon, Grand Ecclesiarch Aetios, Director of the Patriarchal Private Office, and Patriarchal Deacon Epifaniy Kamyanovich as the translator.
At noon, the Ecumenical Patriarch hosted a luncheon at the Patriarchal Municipal School of Marasli in honor of the distinguished guests of the Mother Church.
