On November 8, 2024, Metropolitan Epifaniy of Kyiv and All Ukraine led the Divine Liturgy in the Cathedral of St. Michael’s Golden-Domed Cathedral on the day of the Synaxis of the Archangel Michael and the Other Bodiless Powers, which celebrates its patronal feast.
Several other Metropolitans and Archbishops, along with numerous clergy members, co-served with Metropolitan Epifaniy during the Divine Liturgy.
Special prayers were offered for Ukraine’s safety and for the soldiers defending the country, as well as for the government and the people. The service also included prayers for the souls of the fallen defenders of Ukraine and civilians who lost their lives during the war.
Following the Gospel reading, Metropolitan Epifaniy delivered a sermon addressing the current challenges faced by Ukraine.
The service concluded with a solemn cross procession and a prayer service dedicated to St. Michael the Archangel.
