On June 9th (Sunday), the Monastery of the Transfiguration of the Savior in Gapyeong hosted the Divine Liturgy and Memorial Service to honor the second anniversary of Metropolitan Sotirios’ passing.
The Divine Liturgy and Memorial Service were officiated by Father Antonios Woo Jong-Hyun and Father Jeremy Cho Kyung-Jin. Following the service, the priests and attendees gathered at the deceased’s grave for a brief memorial and to pay their respects.
Attendees shared memories and discussions about the late Bishop Soterios, who dedicated his life to the Lord’s work, teaching, and serving as a father figure to his spiritual children.
Similar services were also held at local Orthodox churches across Korea on the same day.
