The Church Honors Saint Theodotus of Ancyra
Saint Theodotus, a grain merchant and baker in Ancyra, is commemorated by the Church for his piety and generosity towards the poor.
Known for his compassion, he often visited prisoners, sharing the message of hope found in the Gospel.
In the face of persecution, Saint Theodotus bravely retrieved the relics of young Christians who were drowned by pagans in a lake.
Despite facing torture and ultimately being beheaded, he remained steadfast in his faith, earning the crown of martyrdom.
