The Church honors the memory of Martyrs Probus, Tarachus, and Andronicus, as well as Saints Theosebius of Arsinoe and Epiktitos.
Martyrs Probus, Tarachus, and Andronicus faced martyrdom during the rule of Emperor Diocletian in the year 300 AD. These three devout soldiers held strong to their Christian beliefs.
Upon their arrest by Governor Maxentius of Tarsus, they fearlessly professed their faith in Jesus Christ. Despite the governor’s orders for their execution by beheading, he was deeply moved by their unwavering courage and devotion.
Saint Epiktitos the Wonder Worker resided in Kazafani (Agios Epiphanios) in Kyrenia, following the teachings of the Lord to dedicate oneself entirely to Christ and the Holy Gospel for spiritual perfection. He peacefully passed away in the same place where he dedicated his life to prayer and spiritual discipline.
