The health condition of Archbishop Anastasios of Albania remains critical, as per the latest medical bulletin from Evangelismos Hospital.
Archbishop Anastasios of Albania was admitted to a hospital in Tirana on December 30 due to a virus. His condition deteriorated, leading to his transfer to Athens on January 3.
Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis visited Evangelismos Hospital on Sunday to get updates on Archbishop Anastasios’s health from Professor Anastasia Kotanidou, a specialist in Pulmonology and Intensive Care.
Archbishop Ieronymos of Athens and all Greece also visited Archbishop Anastasios to wish him a speedy recovery on Saturday. They had a brief conversation, and Archbishop Ieronymos received an update on Archbishop Anastasios’s condition from Professor Kotanidou.
Minister of Education and Religious Affairs, Kyriakos Pierrakakis, visited Archbishop Anastasios on Monday morning.
Later in the day, President of SYRIZA-PA, Sokratis Famellos, visited Evangelismos Hospital to show support for Archbishop Anastasios. He received updates on the Archbishop’s health and engaged with hospital employees during the visit.
Sokratis Famellos, along with Central Committee member Fotini Karystinaki, received a briefing on Archbishop Anastasios’s condition from medical professionals at the hospital.
