The celebration of St. Great Martyr Marina began with festive vespers at the St. Sofia Metropolis.
Bulgarian Patriarch Daniel presided over the evening service on the eve of the temple holiday for the first time. He was joined by Archimandrite Ioan, protosyncellus of the Sofia Metropolitanate, and protodeacon Ivan Petkov.
A large number of Christians gathered in the metropolitan church and courtyard to participate in the solemn service and honor the relics of St. Marina. Following the service, Patriarch Daniel spoke to the congregation, reflecting on the life of St. Great Martyr Marina and imparting his blessing to the faithful.
Many residents of Sofia came together to worship and show their reverence for the saint, joining the Patriarch in prayers dedicated to St. Marina, seeking health, joy, salvation, and eternal life.
