On November 9, 2024, the feast of Saint Nektarios of Pentapolis, the inauguration of the chapel within the Hermitage in Rättvik, Sweden, will take place in honor of our Holy Father Nicholas, Archbishop of Myra in Lycia, the Miracle Worker.
The first founder of this chapel was the late Archimandrite Eusebius Vitis.
On Saturday, November 9, 2024, to facilitate the pilgrims from Stockholm and the surrounding areas, the service of the Orthros will begin at 9:30 a.m., followed by the Hierarchical Divine Liturgy of the inauguration, presided over by Metropolitan Cleopas of Sweden and all Scandinavia, at 11:00 a.m. At the conclusion of the service, a memorial prayer will be offered for the repose of Archimandrite Kyr Eusebius Vitis.
The hymns of the sacred services will be performed by members of the Byzantine choir of the Saint George Cathedral in Stockholm.
A meal will follow at the facilities of the Hermitage, hosted by the members of the Philoptochos Society of the Saint George Cathedral in Stockholm.
