The Hieromartyr Timothy, Bishop of Prusa (Bithynia), was known for his purity and sanctity of life, which granted him the gift of wonderworking from the Lord. He converted many pagans to the Christian faith in Prusa, despite opposition from the emperor Julian the Apostate. Even while imprisoned by Julian, Saint Timothy continued to preach the Gospel.
Julian attempted to silence him, but the saint persisted in spreading the message of Jesus Christ. Ultimately, the emperor ordered Saint Timothy’s beheading. His holy relics were later moved to Constantinople.
Due to his spiritual purity, Saint Timothy was able to perform miracles and heal the sick. Despite persecution under Emperor Julian, he remained steadfast in his faith and teachings, even in prison. Saint Timothy was martyred in 362 A.D., and his relics continue to be a source of miracles and divine power.
