During Christmas Eve, the young men and women of the Greek Diaspora from the Educational and Artistic Association of Feriköy, along with teachers and students from the Zografeio Lyceum and the Zappeion School, gathered to sing traditional carols to the Ecumenical Patriarch.
The Ecumenical Patriarch graciously welcomed everyone, particularly the young individuals of the Greek Diaspora, to the Patriarchate, emphasizing that it is the shared home of all—the Mother Church. He also reminded them of their future role in upholding the traditions and Christian presence in Constantinople for generations to come.
Extending warm wishes for a Merry and Blessed Christmas, the Ecumenical Patriarch encouraged Archimandrite Peter, Abbot of the Holy Patriarchal and Stavropegic Monastery of St. John the Baptist in Essex, and the Monastery’s spiritual father, Archimandrite Zacharias, to deliver spiritually enriching speeches to the youth of the Greek community.
