On Tuesday, June 18, the Greek Orthodox Parish of Milan hosted the inauguration of the first exhibition of the iconography of the Parish School, centered around the theme “God is Light.”
Archimandrite Fr. Ioannis Batsis introduced the theme of the exhibition and expressed gratitude to iconographer Mrs. Olga Anastasopoulou and her students. Special recognition was given to architect Mrs. Diana Charalambous for her diligent curation of the exhibition, the youth of the parish for their organizational efforts, the ladies who prepared the buffet, and all the participants who showed their support.
During the event, Mrs. Anastasopoulou discussed the iconography classes, while the students shared their personal experiences. The exhibition and a book featuring photographic material and a brief overview of Byzantine art were presented by Mrs. Charalambous. The proceeds from the book will contribute to the celebration of the parish’s 100th anniversary in 2025.
