On Wednesday, May 8, 2024, Elder Metropolitan Apostolos of Derkoi, along with representatives of the Ecumenical Patriarchate, made a visit to the island of Prinkipos and the Orphanage. Their main objective, with the blessing of Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, was to evaluate the existing infrastructure of the Orphanage and identify any areas that needed improvement. The visit also included a pilgrimage to the Monastery of St. George at Koudouna and other sacred sites on Prinkipos.
