On Tuesday, April 23, 2024, the 1st Primary School of Ovrya in Patras had a special guest in their virtual classroom.
At the invitation of the school’s headmaster, Vassilios Spanos, Elder Metropolitan Apostolos of Derkoi, serving as the Patriarchal Commissioner of Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, connected online to engage with the students as part of their Byzantine History lesson.
During the meeting, the Elder Metropolitan answered questions from the students, covering topics ranging from the Ecumenical Patriarchate and the Ecumenical Patriarch to various aspects of Greek culture and heritage. The students were keen to learn more about the Ecumenical Patriarchate, the role of the Ecumenical Patriarch, and insights into the rich tapestry of Hellenic traditions.
As the discussion drew to a close, Elder Metropolitan Apostolos extended his warmest wishes to the teachers and students, imparting his blessings for their academic journey ahead.
