Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew concluded his visit to Italy on Saturday, June 6, as he departed from Milan airport. Metropolitan Polycarp of Italy bid him farewell.
Invited by Bishop Edoardo Aldo Cerrato, the Ecumenical Patriarch participated in church events honoring the Holy Martyr Sabinus. He visited the Church of Saint Ulderico in Ivrea and took part in prayers for the feast of St. Sabinus. Additionally, he was warmly welcomed at the Greek Orthodox Parish of Turin.
