Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew left today, Thursday, July 4th, at noon, heading to Milan. From there, he will proceed to the Diocese of Ivrea, where he has been invited by Bishop Edoardo Aldo Cerrato to participate in official local ecclesiastical events. He is scheduled to return to his residence on Saturday evening.
Accompanying him on this trip are Metropolitan Polycarp of Italy, Bishop Paisios of Xanthoupolis, Archimandrite Ioannis Batsis, Hierarchical Head of the Community of Milan, and one of the Secretaries of the Patriarchate, Chrysovalantis Gulgun.
