On August 2, 2024, Metropolitan Epifaniy, the Primate of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine, met with the chaplains of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine.
The meeting focused on the challenges and complexities of providing pastoral care to the military personnel of the Defense Forces across Ukraine, particularly those serving at the front lines.
Metropolitan Epifaniy expressed his appreciation to the chaplains for their commitment and presented them with crosses as tokens of gratitude. He encouraged them to continue to uphold their faith and offer spiritual support to Ukrainian soldiers.
In response, the chaplains conveyed warm regards from Kyrylo Budanov, Chief of the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine, to the Primate of the OCU.
