A delegation from the Coptic Church, led by Bishop Apollo of South Sinai, visited Archbishop Ieronymos of Athens and All Greece today. The delegation, consisting of six members, traveled to Greece with the blessing of Pope Tawadros II of Alexandria.
During the meeting, Archbishop Ieronymos and Bishop Apollo reaffirmed the strong and enduring relationship between the Greek Orthodox Church and the Coptic Church. Archbishop Ieronymos expressed his gratitude for the support of the Coptic Church, especially concerning the Holy Monastery of Sinai.
The discussions highlighted the shared history and collaboration between the two Churches, underscoring the importance of unity in facing common challenges. Protopresbyter Emmanuel Papamikroulis, Secretary of the Synodal Committee on Inter-Orthodox and Inter-Christian Relations, also participated in the meeting, emphasizing the significance of fostering inter-Christian dialogue and cooperation.
