A blessing ceremony took place today at the new offices of the Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO) in Milan. The ceremony was conducted by Archimandrite Fr. Ioannis Batsis, the Head of the Greek Orthodox Church in Milan, who was invited by Mrs. Eleni Gavriliadou, the Head of the GNTO Office.
Following the blessing, there was a productive discussion about the Greek diaspora in Italy, the challenges it faces, and the role of the Church in preserving Greek identity. The importance of the connection between Greek tourism and Orthodoxy was highlighted, emphasizing how faith, tradition, and sacred pilgrimage routes contribute to Greece’s cultural heritage and global appeal.
The meeting ended on a positive note, with a commitment to enhance cooperation in promoting Hellenism and Greek cultural outreach. Well wishes were exchanged for the success and progress of the GNTO office.
