On Saturday, February 1, 2025, the Ecumenical Patriarchate Archons in Canada (EPAC) hosted a successful webinar on the topic of the Ecumenical Patriarchate and His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew.
The special guest speaker was Prof. Elizabeth Prodromou, an eminent scholar and expert on religious geopolitics, as well as a distinguished collaborator of the Patriarchate. Because of her many accomplishments and contributions, she was chosen by His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew to participate as an official delegate at the Holy and Great Council in Crete, and is a critical member of the transformational Pilgrimage of Discovery program organized by the U.S. Archons of the Ecumenical Patriarchate.
The meeting was opened by reciting the Lord’s Prayer, which was followed by introductory remarks delivered by the President of the EPAC, Archon Evagelos Sotiropoulos.
Archons from across Canada participated in the webinar to listen and learn about the First Throne of Orthodoxy, the historic tenure and significant accomplishments of His All-Holiness, forward-looking items like the expected opening of the Halki School, together with ways the EPAC can assist the Mother Church of Constantinople.
Following the insightful presentation by Prof. Prodromou, an extensive question and answer session took place with high engagement among participants.
In closing, the Ecumenical Patriarchate Archons in Canada expressed their heartfelt appreciation to Prof. Prodromou for her valued leadership. There was widespread enthusiasm at the conclusion of the webinar and a re-commitment among Archons to enhance their support for the venerable Ecumenical Patriarchate, the Lighthouse of Orthodoxy around the world.
