On this Lazarus Saturday, April 27, 2024, the Theological School of Halki welcomed Athanasios Martinos, Archon Exarch of the Great Church of Christ, and his spouse Marina, along with their companions. They participated in the Divine Liturgy at the Church of the Holy Trinity, presided over by the Abbot, Bishop Kassianos of Arabissos.
Subsequently, the Abbot extended a warm welcome to the visitors in the Great Synodikon of the School, expressing heartfelt gratitude to Martinos for his significant donation. He emphasized the crucial role of this contribution in facilitating the extensive renovation of the School’s building complex and underscored the project’s immense importance. After deliberating on certain matters regarding the ongoing renovation, an inspection was conducted at the section of the School currently under renovation. The donors, accompanied by the Abbot, observed firsthand the progress of the works.
Concluding their visit, the guests were led to the Library of the School, where they were awe-struck by the vast collection of books housed within its historic walls.
