The Archdiocesan Chapel has reopened for worship after completing the first phase of installing new icons in the Holy Altar.
A talented team of iconographers has adorned the dome with the icon of Christ the All-Powerful and the icon of the Most Holy Mother of God titled “She who is wider than the heavens,” along with icons of the Holy Hierarchs.
The icon of Christ known as “Extreme Humility,” or Christ the Bridegroom, now stands above the Table of Oblation on the left of the Holy Table, while the Trinitarian icon of the Hospitality of Abraham is on the right.
The first Divine Liturgy will be held on Tuesday, 17th December, starting with Matins at 7 am.
Archbishop Nikitas of Thyateira and Great Britain extends his gratitude to all supporters of the Archdiocese.
The Chapel’s iconography is expected to be fully completed by June.
