On the morning of Saturday, January 4, 2025, at the Holy Golgotha, Archbishop Theophanes of Gerash ordained the cantor Eustathios Tsoumanis as a deacon. He will serve as a married deacon and later as a married priest in various ministries of the Patriarchate.
During the ordination, the Holy Sepulchre Fathers, his wife Anastasia, nuns of the Patriarchate, and members of the Church of Jerusalem proclaimed the words “Axios” (worthy).
After the ordination, the Episcopal entourage of the ordination visited the Patriarchate and was received by His Beatitude, our Father and Patriarch of Jerusalem, Theophilos.
